Renowned actress Fawzia Mirza was here in Pakistan recently. She performed her play ‘Me, My Mom, and Sharmila Tagore’ at NAPA theater festival in Karachi, and then made it to Islamabad as well. TW made good use of her presence in Islamabad, and arranged a session for the team to discuss various aspects of theater with Mirza, and learn something from her. The session was arranged at Kuch Khaas on rainy Sunday morning (March 29th) with support from US Embassy.
She spent a few hours with TW team, taught some games/exercises, and discussed various aspects of developing creative monologues.
Here is what she said about TW team afterwards:
TW arranged for a theater performance of her play ‘Me, My Mom, and Sharmila Tagore’ in the evening at the newly established campus of Headstart School at Kuri Village. The performance was attended by select audience of around 150 people, who were mesmerized by the one-woman show. Mirza kept her audience captivated for over an hour with her wonderful performance.
